I am in the race - Let's Do It Liverpool

Friday February 4th 2011 :  Today I announce my running as an Independent for the State Seat of Liverpool.

Liverpool is one of the safest seats for Labor with a 27% margin on the 2 party preferred basis.

My engagement is a response to Liverpool's years of political neglect and self serving by its State representative Paul Lynch MP.

Lynch MP  established himself as a party war lord with the departure of Mark Latham to Canberra in 1994. We have seen Liverpool since go backwards with infrastructure and services being late ( the Liverpool Lag), never arriving or being done on the cheap.

Liverpool is fed up with being taken for granted.  I intend to take the challenge to Lynch MP.

Happy BiCentenary Liverpool

Liverpool is our town. And yesterday, on Sunday November 7th 2010 Liverpool saw its 200th year since Governor Macquarie rowed up the river  ( Georges River ) to declare the location as "Fit for the Purpose" for a new town named Liverpool. The Governor was accompanied by local settler Thomas Moore ( Moorebank.. Moore Theological College) and his Surgeon Dr William Redfern ( Redfern, Redfern Oval - home of the South Sydney Rabbitohs).

Liverpool is the fourth oldest town in Australia, after Sydney, Parramatta and Hobart.

Happy Birthday Liverpool.

Busted Politics? Politics really is local...

The phrase "All politics is local" is attributed to the renowned US Democrat politician Tip O'Neill.

Busted Politics? Extraordinary Events

I did an extraordinary thing yesterday.

Busted Politics - we are buried in it...

Busted politics indeed!

In Liverpool we experience the busted politics of narks, nongs and opportunists. I do not know how widespread this is in the wider world.

Lynch, Waller and Julia... all old hypocritical "lefties"

The coming Federal election will put before us a fundamental difference in the Prime Ministerial candidates, beyond the superficiality of gender. The difference was on display on recent July Saturdays in Liverpool.
